More About Me
I graduated from Ardrossan Jr./Sr. High School with a Bilingual Diploma in 1998.

I then completed a four year Bachelors of Education (BEd – Secondaire) from the Campus Saint Jean – U of A.

My passion for working with youth came to me at an early age as I volunteered each year of my Scouts Canada career to work with the participants from the lower age group than my own.  Through my High School and University years, I worked with a variety of Youth Summer Programs including the Boysdale Camp out of North Edmonton, and the Tim Hortons Children’s Foundation Camps in both Parry Sound, Ontario and Kananaskis, Alberta.  These experiences solidified my passion for working with youth in a variety of age groups and spurred me on to pursue my Education Degree.

Another of my passions is towards the French Language.  I am an Alberta French Immersion Program Graduate who has spent his entire school career, from Kindergarten all the way through to University and beyond, learning and perfecting his French language skills. I thus strongly believe in the value of bilingualism and the exploration of all facets of the exciting French language.  I try to transmit and instill this passion in all of my students through the variety of activities and discussions included as part of my classes.  I like to think of language learning as a continuous lifelong adventure so do not be surprised if I stop your son or daughter in the hallways, on the street, or at a store and converse with them in French.  This is one way for me to extend language learning beyond the confines of my classroom walls.

I have been teaching now for twelve years and I still love coming to school each and every day.  This is primarily due to the amazing students that I have the pleasure to teach and coach on a daily basis year after year.  Throughout my teaching career I have been privileged to share in the lives of so many fabulous young minds and I truly look forward each year to the upcoming discussions and writings that my students will put forth.  In addition, I am blessed with the opportunity to coach with the Paul Kane Football Team as well as the Girls Rugby Team. These are all wonderful ways in which I am able to meet many of my students on a different level beyond the classroom.

I look forward to meeting you in the near future … I sincerely hope to “PAINT IT BLUE” with you here at PK.

PK ROCKS !!!
