Career & Technology Studies (CTS)

Career and Technology Studies is a program which offers Alberta’s students opportunities to:

  • develop technology-related skills
  • enhance employability skills
  • apply and reinforce learnings developed in other subject areas
  • develop skills that can be applied to careers, the workplace or further education

Each credit earned in the CTS program requires about 20-25 hours to complete.

Courses labelled “A” are typically 3 credits while courses labelled “C” are typically 5 credits.

A mark of 50% in each module is required to receive one credit. Most students work through five modules during a five credit block of time.
